Pie / Tart Crust

 

This crust was used in the pie as well as the lemon tarts. It's also great for savory recipes.

 

1 1/3 Cup whole wheat flour

1/3 cup of canola oil

2 T cold water

1/2 t Salt

 

Mix the salt and flour together

Add the oil and the water 1T at a time until it forms a dough ball.

Then press into the desired pan.

Note, tarts using the lemon curd, chocolate ganache or lime pudding require the crust to be pre-baked 10 minutes or until set at 280C 350 F:

Pies like apple and pumpkin do not require pre baking
