How to ditch old habits before the Jewish New Year
September 3, 2014
Well, it is good to be back at work. Back to School is over and it is time for me to get back to business. With all of the rockets, kidnappings, summer vacation and travel we have all experienced this year locally or abroad, it is time to get back to work.
We all have our coping mechanisms and strategies. I have been very quiet on my social media, websites, newsletter and writing. When things are crazy I focus on what matters most, my family, my state of mind and my current clients. I do the minimum in every area that I can and give the maximum attention where it counts. Can you relate?
We all cope differently and when push meets shove and rockets literally fly. What are the things that you stop caring about, and what are things that really matter? For many of us that is how the Ben and Jerry's or binging or nightly "glass of wine" hmmmm... start. The last thing on our minds is our weight or food guilt or a future health problem, we are too busy trying to get through every day without breaking down.
This is not limited to rockets. People who suffer with disease in the family, a financial disaster or over powering stress will tell you to do, " whatever it takes, to make it through the day."
But then what happens when that day is over?
This why I created this evening live video event on my Facebook page. Go ahead and watch it now. These are my 5 things to do, to ditch those coping habits that got us through, before they hold us back in the present.
1. Ditch the past
2. Gather your strength and tools
3. Eat well to feel well
4. Act out: Decompress through movement
5. Accept the process and that persistence beats perfection.
Every time we work to realign our purpose and our actions there are challenges. For me the key to ditching those cravings and leftover stress is the Sugar Detox. I invite you to join me for the 7 day Sugar detox starting this Sunday, September 7, 2014. Are you in? tell me below.
I am choosing to start this new year with a clean palate, craving free and back on my work schedule.
Perhaps you feel like a sugar detox is tooo overwhelming. That's ok. In 7 days you will be astounded how much more optimistic and empowered you will feel.
Perhaps you are worried about the time and cooking involved. That's o.k the 7 day detox comes with a full menu plan and recipes that you can use or skip for your convenience.
Perhaps you are worried that you lack will power? That's o.k you don't need will power when you really use the support group on facebook and share what you are eating, questions about foods, recipe requests and gather the love you need to succeed.
Perhaps you doubt that you will ever conquer those habits? I can promise you that this is it not the end of the war on the many bad habits of humanity. It is a solution to break your current habits and will 100% when completed, give you a sense of accomplishment, positivity and ambition for the new year.
If you are ready to start the New Year, with a blessing of great health, positive outlook and good habits, join me.
It all starts right here on Sunday. Part of my process will be brand new daily recipes, food log and exercise log, with video here for the full week.
