Quality Conversation. A part of the Love language of quality time.
Imagine a conversation where you constantly interrupt the other person, you try to solve their problems and hurry them on to the next topic. Would they feel loved? would you feel connected?
Some of our worst listening skills and habits are in our self talk.
Listen to yourself, do you interrupt your thoughts with to do lists, or hurry up or get over it, or problems solving ?
How can could that show up in how in tune you feel with your body and your mind?
Reread that section of the book on how to be a good listener and practice on yourself. (book 5 love languages)
Listen for feelings, don't jump in with a solution, You can even write down those feelings on a notepad, you can start to get to know yourself and how you react to different situations.
Ask yourself, if my friend spoke to me, the way I speak to me, would I keep them as a friend?
