Basic Pizza Dough
Use for pizza, calzones, foccasia, flat-bread or chocolate pizza dessert.
For a vegan pizza try veggies and marinara with nutritional yeast on top.
Makes 3-4 medium sized pizzas
1 Kilo 70-100 % whole wheat flour
1 bag 50 gm yeast
2.5 cups warm water
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
Salt/ red pepper flakes/ oregano to taste
Mix warm water, yeast, olive oil together and let sit for 3 minutes.
Add the flour and then salt and seasoning on top of the flour.
Knead together until dough bounces back when pressed.
Drizzle olive oil over the dough and cover with adamp cloth. Keep in a warm area for 1 hr to rise and then divide and top.
Bake a pizza at 500 F or 250 C until golden and the cheese is bubbling.
