Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Glaze



6 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

2 Cups whole wheat flour

1 ½ Cups Turbinado (raw) Sugar

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/8 Teaspoon Salt2 Eggs

¾ Cup Oil (olive, canola or coconut)

1 Cup cold water/ instant coffee/ Soy Milk



In one bowl add the oil, sugar, eggs, liquid and salt

Add the dry Ingredients, sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda into the batter

Whisk well until there are no lumps.

Pour into the 8 in round baking pan lined with paper.

Bake at 350 F 185 C till a toothpick in the center comes out clean, 20-35 minutes


Peanut butter glaze:

1 Cup natural peanut butter

 1-2 T natural honey to taste

Pinch salt.

This where the liquid nature of natural peanut butter is a plus.
