Pancakes, 2 ways
In the pancakes pictured here I subbed 1/2 cup of beet juice for 1/2 cup of the water. PinkTastic :)
Original Classic Pancake Recipe
1.75 cups whole wheat flour 70%-100%
3.5 Teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1.5 Cups water
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1teaspoon of butter for the griddle
Up to 1/2 cup mixed in Fruit (optional)
Add the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl.Then whisk in the wet ingredients. Heat the griddle , melt the butter on it and begin.
Tip: I like to cover them with tin foil until ready to serve.
Here is another great recipe that uses milk, a bit sweeter
2 cups whole wheat flour (I use white whole wheat)
4 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups + 2 tbsp fat free milk
2 tsp vanilla
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add wet ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix well with a spoon until there are no more dry spots; don't over-mix.

Try stuffing them with Omelet mix!
