Why the Wicked Prosper—and What That Means for Your Health
By Lily Aronin
I’ll be honest with you—this week, I wasn’t smiling when class started.
We were minutes away from Chag, the laundry wasn't folded, windows were slamming, and yes, I was yelling. Not teaching about yelling. Yelling.
But the thing is, this class reminded me why even that moment can be holy.
We opened our class with laughter and raw honesty—and then moved into one of the deepest sections in the Gate of Trust: Why the wicked prosper. Sounds dramatic, right? But the implications are profound.
💡 Here’s the health insight you didn’t know you needed:When we compare ourselves to others—whether it's that person on Instagram with the perfect body or the neighbor with the “perfect” life—we trigger internal stress, cortisol spikes, digestive disruption, and... emotional eating.
So what if the answer isn’t to push harder—but to trust deeper?
When you trust that your path is guided by God, even your struggles—your yelling, your overwhelm, your parenting fails—can carry hidden treasures. Just like the Israelites found gold hidden in moldy walls, we too find insight in what seems like imperfection.
💬 One quote from the class really hit home for me:"Sometimes the treasure is inside the yelling."
💖 This week’s spiritual takeaways that support your health:
You were built for your purpose—physically, emotionally, spiritually.
Your ideal work, food, and pace are already aligned with your body. Trust it.
Emotional regulation isn’t about being perfect—it’s about processing pain with faith.
You can honor your hunger and your holiness—at the same time.
That’s why I love teaching the Harmony Plate, which guides you to:
✅ Start with water
✅ Fill half your plate with veggies
✅ Add 100 calories of healthy fat
✅ Include 20g of protein (1/4 plate)
✅ Add whole grains or fruits for lasting energy
🧭 These aren’t just health tips.
They’re acts of Bitachon—trusting your body was made by God and listening to it is a form of worship.
